Beginners Course 2026

The SBKA Beginners Beekeeping Course is now open for registration. Split into Part 1 Bee Background and a Part 2 : Bee Keeping sections designed to provide either a taster (Part 1 alone) or the full content required to start keeping you own bees (Parts 1 & 2 together). More details available HERE

Intermediate Microscopy Course 2026

BBKA’s Education and Husbandry Committee is pleased to offer a two-day Intermediate Microscopy Course at Stoneleigh in February 2026.  

This is for BBKA members only and is designed for those preparing for the BBKA Microscopy Assessment.  The areas that will be covered are Disease Diagnosis Acarine and Nosema, Pollen Slide Preparation, Abdominal Dissection, Preparation of Anatomical Slides.  Attendees will need to provide their own equipment.

The course is for intermediates who have previously attended a Microscopy beginners course – attendees will be asked to provide evidence of this.
