Membership

*Full membership – £40.00 Provides all the benefits of BBKA membership (see below), including the monthly magazine and third party and public liability insurance through BBKA.

*Partner members – £33.00 As above but only one copy of the BBKA News magazine is sent to the relevant address – a “partner” in this context is anyone living at the same address as a Full member.

*Country member – £29.00 If you do not keep bees (and therefore don’t need the insurance) but still want to receive the BBKA magazine. 

*Social member – £19 Intended either for associate members of SBKA who are full members elsewhere, or local members who do not have responsibility for their own bees and so do not require BBKA membership.
 
*Junior membership – £5.00. We do not normally accept Junior Members without a parent or guardian also being a member.

*Friend of Sheffield Beekeepers’ Association – £10. For people who would like to show their support to beekeeping in Sheffield but do not wish to be members with voting rights.

  • access to discounted beekeeping equipment from the association shop
  • access to a library of beekeeping books and comunal equipment 
  • distribution of locally adapted, varroa resistant bees / queens
  • opportunity to enter your honey and hive products to the Association Honey Show

Payments

To pay your membership fee either set up a BACS transfer to: Sheffield Beekeepers Association. Sort Code: 08 92 99.  Act Nr: 65843891 (please use your Surname as your reference).
